If you have not had the chance to dig into the more options in the course settings there are some really great tools that are hiding under the “more options” at the bottom of the page.
The 2 I am highlighting today are:
- Hide totals in student grades summary
|
To see these options in action you have navigate to the Grades area and then click on an individual in your course to expose his or her individual grades page. This view shows the Totals at the bottom. One drawback is that the percentages are the based on the work the student has completed. not the overall grade. It is important to either explain this to your students or you can go into the “more options” and select the “Hide totals in student grade summary” option.
|
- Hide grade distribution graphs from students
When the student exposes the grade distribution graph icon (see scoring details) the student can see the range of grades from the course for that assignment; the high score, the low score and the mean. The small blue box shows the student where they are on the graph. |
To hide grade distribution graph go into the “more options” and select the “Hide grade distribution graph from students” option. |
