With a new look for Canvas comes a great way to help keep track of your courses easier. You now can give the Dashboard cards nicknames to help you identify your courses quickly. The name will only show for your Canvas account.
Here’s how:

Click on the gear icon for the course you want to assign a nickname to help quickly designate the right course section.
Click on the apply button to save the changes.
You can also change the color of the card as well. |

Your card will now reflect the new name.
Remember the nickname is only reflected in your account.
